Sensory Books for Babies
Count a few colorful discoveries during your reading cuddle.
This number-themed cloth book pairs black-and-white patterns with colorful numerals and playful animals. Each illustrated page introduces a number, from one through ten, with English number words alongside it. The fabric format gives little hands something different to explore together.
Sit close and turn a page slowly. Point to the large numeral, say its name, and look for an animal hiding beside it. You can count aloud or simply describe the colors and patterns your child notices. There is no need to finish every page in one sitting.
It is a lovely choice for making shared reading part of an afternoon. Looking, pointing, and listening encourages visual attention and early number vocabulary, while handling the pages offers coordination practice.
