chunky puzzles

This chunky wooden food puzzle brings a market selection to a board. An apple, pear, corn, watermelon, pineapple, and strawberry appear against a flower-filled background. The raised pieces show outer shapes and cut sections, giving your child details to notice while matching them.

Spread the pieces beside the board and ask what might go into your pretend shopping basket. Find the strawberry, turn it until its outline fits, then look for the next food. You can talk about colors or name something you have eaten together, letting experience guide the game.

It suits for children who enjoy recognizable objects. Working out where each piece belongs encourages shape recognition, spatial reasoning, and hand-eye coordination, while naming foods builds vocabulary.
